Tuesdays with Dorie – Pizza with Onion Confit.

At first, I want to begin this post to wish you a happy New Year!!! Lot of joy, love, peace and fun!!!! The first recipe of the year is a pizza with onion confit, and to be honest I was a little scared about the recipe because in terms of pizza, I’m very fussy!!! Tuesdays with Dorie – Finnish Pulla.

For the last recipe of this year what a lovely choice than the Finnish Pulla. Very simple, very tasty, for me it’s perfect for breakfast, lightly toasted with butter or a nice orange marmalade…. Just a piece of tenderness to finish the year beautifully! Cardamom gives a lightly spicy flavour, so discrete but presents to give something more… I followed the recipe but I just made a little change: I incorporated the butter not melted but in small pieces at the end, just after adding all flour, and I kneaded not to 10 min. but 20 min.... Special treats for Christmas.

Every year when arrive Christmas, I love to prepare different treats to offer to my friends and family, I really like rather than buying industrial ones, it funny to make, pleasant to offer and so much better !!! Some are really special and traditional for this time. For me the first one are the Truffles!!! Tuesdays with Dorie – Gingerbread Baby Cakes

This week TWD recipe was the Gingerbread Baby Cakes. I was very interested by the recipe, I love spices, and I use them regularly in pastry but this time I have to confess, I don’t really like so much the result!!! The taste is too strong, almost knocking out, and too aggressive for me. However, the texture was good, the cakes were moist and soft. Louise Cake

I travelled few months in New-Zealand, while I visited a wonderful country, met generous people, I discovered a simple and tasty cooking, inspired by various world cooking! This recipe comes from my journey, and is an old fashioned New Zealand favorite. It’s made with a layer of biscuit topped with raspberry jam, and coconut meringue, then baked in the oven. Tuesdays with Dorie – Best Ever Brownies.

  Best Ever Brownies!!! Just the name makes you want to rush into the kitchen and start preparing these fabulous decadent chocolate cakes!!!!! As you have understand this week the selected recipe was THE best ever brownies, and of course they are the best!!!! Tuesdays with Dorie – Buttermilk Crumb Muffins.

This week for Tuesdays with Dorie, the selected recipe was buttermilk crumb muffins, hosted by Alisa who celebrating her birthday today: Happy birthday!!!!!! I love muffins, it’s a good treat with a cup of tea, a snack that you can bring everywhere. Bagels.

I missed lot of recipes since the begining of the Baking with Julia's adventures, so I try to catch up my delay, and I have a large choice!!!! And.........I made BAGELS!!!!! The famous American bagels!!!! And it was so good!!!!! Tuesdays With Dorie - Rewind - My First Post: Whole Wheat Bread.

For my first participation for Tuesdays with Dorie, a rewind it’s a good entrance cause I made lots of Dorie Greenspan recipes, I often read and followed the blogs of the group, but I never participated!!!
